Where Your Dollar Goes

Every Spring the United Way of Hill County (UWHC) announces that it is accepting applications for funding for the following year. A committee made of concerned community members and UWHC Board Members meets to analyze the applications and the non-profit organizations that submitted them. Careful consideration is given to the organization's need, how many residents it serves and its plan for the funds. Then, we start the arduous task of fund raising. For two months in the Fall, we spread the word in any way we can to ask the generous residents of Hill County to give or pledge funds to help the approved Funded Partners. The list you see below includes the Funded Partners who are using some of your hard-earned dollars to help our neighbors.
